Alpha Sale simplifies the process of putting multiple products on sale, saving your valuable time.

Just remember that once products are on sale, you should not adjust their prices in the Shopify admin panel, whether manually or through dropshipping or inventory apps.

Setting up a product sale

To set up a product sale, follow these steps:

1. Choose your campaign name

Enter a name for your new discount campaign.

2. Select discount value

You can reduce your product prices by:

  • Specific value: e.g., a $10 discount.

  • Percentage: e.g., 10% off.

  • Desired sale price: e.g., setting a product to cost $10 regardless of its initial price.

3. Utilize price rounding

This feature allows you to set the desired price ending.

For example, you can ensure that your prices always end in .99 cents or are whole numbers.

4. Choose the discount application strategy

This setting is beneficial if some of your target products are already on sale (i.e., they have a “compare-at” price set in the admin panel).

Options include:

  • Stacking discounts: Keep the default “Product price” option to add the new discount to the existing one.

  • Replacing discounts: Switch to the “Compare-at price” to apply a larger discount.

5. Select discount targets and exclusions

The app lets you choose and exclude products based on various characteristics, including collections, vendors, product types, and tags.

For example, you can easily put all your jeans on sale, excluding those by Levi's.

6. Schedule campaign activation

Set your campaign to activate immediately or to run regularly on autopilot.

7. Set up your announcement banner

Promote the campaign on your website with an announcement bar.

You can customize your bar’s style and text.

Don’t forget to visit your theme editor to activate the Alpha Sale app embed, which is necessary for displaying the banner.

8. Tag discounted products

For efficient product management, consider marking your discounted products with a custom tag. This way you will always know which discount campaign the product belongs to.

9. See your campaign appear in the discount campaigns overview

After your campaign is created, you can find it in the Discount campaigns overview. From here, you can pause or refresh the campaign if needed and track how your usage fits into the current plan’s limit.
