Tracking and adjusting customer point balances

In Alpha Loyalty, customer points are tracked automatically in real time, ensuring balances are always accurate. As a merchant, you can view, manage, and adjust these balances directly from your customer dashboard.

Checking point balances

In the customer dashboard, the main view shows:

  • Each customer’s current points balance.

  • The loyalty program they are part of.

Clicking on a customer profile provides deeper insights:

1) Activity

A detailed log of all earned, redeemed, or manually adjusted points, as well as VIP tier updates. This makes it easy to troubleshoot and verify customer activity.

2) Order history

A breakdown of recent orders and the points awarded for each, helping you confirm your earning rules are applied correctly.

Adjusting point balances

If you need to correct a customer’s points balance manually, you can do so directly from their profile in Alpha Loyalty:

1. Click the Adjust Points button.

2. Add or subtract a specific number of points, or set the customer’s points balance to an exact value.

3. Optionally, include a note - either for internal reference or to display to the customer in their Loyalty Widget.

All adjustments appear in the customer’s points history.

Bulk adjustments

To make changes for multiple customers at once:

1. Go to the customer dashboard.

2. Use filters to segment the group of customers you want to update.

3. Run a bulk adjustment following the same process as for a single customer.
