Customers can redeem their points for rewards. In Alpha Loyalty, you can define different types of rewards and configure exactly how they work, ensuring your program motivates customers in the right way.
Just like earning rules, rewards are program-based. That means each loyalty program can have its own reward setup - up to 10 rewards per program. For example, you may want to offer free shipping to B2C customers and exclusive discounts for B2B clients.
Step 1: Create a program and navigate to its settings
Go to your Alpha Loyalty dashboard and click Add points program or click on any existing program.
Step 2: Choose the reward type
Alpha Loyalty supports several types of rewards, and you can configure multiple rewards of each type:
Order discount – discounts off the total sum of the order
Product discounts - discounts on specific products and collections
Free shipping – free shipping in exchange for points
Gift cards – issuing store gift cards sent to any email automatically
Free products – one or a selection of products the customers can get for free
In your program settings, the rewards you create are added to the reward list with a toggle button to enable or disable them for this program.
Step 3: Configure the selected reward
Each reward type has its own detailed configuration. Click through to follow the specific guide you are interested in:
Reward - Order discount
Reward - Product discount
Reward - Free shipping
Reward - Free product
Reward - Gift card
Step 4: Activate the rewards
Once you’ve configured each reward, review all settings to ensure they are correct. Then, switch the toggle button to enable each reward.
Activating a reward does not make it live for customers by itself. The customers will be able to redeem the rewards only when the program they belong to is activated. However, enabling rewards allows them to appear in your Loyalty Widget for preview and testing.
Step 5: Configure "Ways to redeem" section description
If you want to give more context about the reward redemption, you can also use Top and Bottom messages, which are configured in each program's settings.
Step 6: Preview
After configuring the rewards and section descriptions, click More actions -> Preview on top of the program settings page to see exactly how your rewards will appear to customers in the Loyalty Widget.
Step 7: Activate the program
After you are satisfied with the rewards and section descriptions, finish setting up the program and activate it. Once the program is active, all enabled rewards within it will be available for customers.
Step 6: Monitor and optimize
Once your program is live, you can track activity through the Activity dashboard to see who is redeeming rewards and how often.
Later you may also want to test variations by adjusting point values or conditions to find out what drives the most engagement. Remember, your rewards aren’t set in stone - they can be edited, paused, or refined at any time to better align with your overall program strategy.
