How customers redeem points

Once customers have earned enough points, they can redeem them for rewards through your loyalty program. The process is simple and takes place inside the Loyalty Widget in your store.

Step 1: Open the Loyalty Widget

Logged-in customers can access the widget to view their current points balance and the rewards available to them.

Step 2: Choose an eligible reward

Rewards that the customer has enough points to redeem will display an active button. If the customer doesn’t yet have enough points, the reward will appear unavailable.

Step 3: Click to redeem

When the customer clicks the button next to an eligible reward the reward get activated and points are being deducted from their balance.

Depending on the reward type, it is either fulfilled right away (e.g., a gift card sent to their email) or will be applied later to eligible products in their cart.

Things to keep in mind

  • Reward conditions must be met: If the cart does not meet the reward’s conditions (for example, there are no eligible products added), the customer can proceed to checkout, but no discount will be applied.

  • Activated rewards can be applied at any point: Customers can return to the store and place another order that meets the reward conditions later.

  • Canceling rewards: Customers can cancel any activated but unused reward, and the points will automatically return to their balance. This can be done directly from the Rewards section of the Loyalty Widget.
