Enable customer sign-in links

Most loyalty program activity is tied to customer accounts.

Only customers who have a customer account can:

  • Redeem their points for rewards

  • Access their VIP tier benefits

This means your customers must be able to sign in to their accounts to participate in your loyalty program.

Option 1: Enable Shopify’s default sign-in links

If sign-in links are disabled in your store, you’ll see a notification banner in the app.

To enable them:

  1. Follow the link in the banner, or go to Settings → Customer accounts → Sign-in links in your Shopify admin.

  2. Switch the toggle button on.

Note: Both types of customer accounts (the new and the legacy ones) are supported by the app.

Option 2: Use a custom sign-in system

If you already use a custom login setup, you can continue relying on it and simply ignore the notification message in the app.
