Here are a few limitations to consider before setting up a “Price reduction” campaign.
1. Product prices must not be changed during an active campaign
When putting a product on sale, Alpha Sale changes its price in the product settings. If the price is changed externally after the campaign launch (for example, by a dropshipping or inventory app), the discounted price will be overwritten.
Therefore, if you need to change your prices, be sure to deactivate your sale campaigns first.
If your prices are modified externally on a regular basis and without your full control, price reduction campaigns might not work for your store.
2. Campaigns are not displayed at checkout
This type of discount is displayed store-wide, but there’s no way to make it visible at checkout.
Alpha Sale lets you add a savings widget to your cart, which will show the client how much they are saving before proceeding to checkout.
Please note that savings widgets work on cart pages only, but not with cart drawers.
3. How discounts are displayed depends on your store theme
Alpha Sale only changes the product prices, but the way these prices are displayed in your store depends on the store theme.
We may help with minor customization tweaks upon request (like changing the sale badge color), but the overall style is determined by your theme’s design.
